Malik: A Sonic Short Story is dadbOdd’s debut album and follows the journey of a French Canadian Man from Northern Ontario navigating his life while dealing with Intergenerational Trauma, Grief, Remorse and Addiction. Throughout season 1 of the music videos we see Malik get mixed up with drugs and alcohol culminating with his wife leaving him. 

The Manny EP dadbOdd’s second project is written from the perspective of Malik’s wife Manny and follows how she is dealing with the couple's breakup. The songs are written from her perspective but in the Music Videos that make up Season 2 we follow Malik and how he is choosing to deal with the split.

Sly is one of Malik’s oldest friends. He first appears in Season 2 Episode 3. Sly is a diamond driller and works out of town for half the month. When he comes back to Sudbury he normally has some type of scheme or plan to make money and often tries to include Malik. He also enjoys partying and is a bad influence for Malik.
